The 2007 proof version full Sovereign was minted following re-cutting of the striking dies. This freshening-up resulted in a particularly sharp image on both obverse and reverse.
The coin is supplied encapsulated in a bespoke box with an informative booklet about the work done by the Royal Mint to improve the image as well as details of the origin of the famous Pistrucci depiction of St. George slaying the dragon. The whole ensemble is then boxed in a gold-stamped outer.
With a total mintage of just 10.000, these are rareties and would make a wise investment choice.

This small coin from Guernsey, in the Channel Islands, was issued in 2005 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Lord Nelson's death. It displays a cameo bust of Nelson in full dress uniform.
With a face value of Ł1, it is a
24 carat (.999) proof quality coin.
It weighs 1.24 grammes and contains 1/25th ounce of fine gold.

The 1984 version of the Isle of Man half Sovereign has an image of four shields on the reverse. Only 20 proof and 20 UNC coins were produced by Pobjoy Mint and we have this single proof issue in stock.
Although originally issued as a proof, the condition of this coin is now more "circulated", with typical marks and scratches and thus priced accordingly.
