We BUY and SELL
bullion
and precious metal coins.
We have a huge range of smaller silver items available for sale. From British Crown-sized coins to smaller specialist ingots, from unusual legal-tender bullion coins to stunningly designed special-issues, we cater to a wide range of customer demand.
Medals and currency coins are often under-rated by those who are seeking to boost their silver reserves. While .999 ingots are much sought-after, silver coins and medals of lower alloys, usually made of Sterling (.925) silver, still contain good quantities of silver metal and are therefore an affordable means of building up silver stocks. And of course, they can also form part of an attractive collection, potentially gaining value for future sales to collectors due to their designs and relative scarcity.
Until the web site is complete, please don't hesitate to contact us with your needs to see if we have what you require.

The first commemorative half Dollar. |
||
The Columbian Exposition half dollar was the first U.S. commemorative half dollar. It was minted in anticipation of the Columbian Exposition, originally scheduled for 1892. Unfortunately, the Fair started a year late and the Mint created an additional issue with the date 1893. Relatively few coins were sold at the fair because fair-goers balked at paying one dollar for a fifty cent value coin. The obverse of the coins display an image of Columbus and the reverse shows a montage of his ship, a world map, the date of his voyage of discovery - 1492 - together with the minting date and legend "World's Columbian Exposition Chicago". The photo shows an 1893 version and as with all half Dollars up to 1964, each weighs 12.50 grammes in .900 purity silver, to give a pure silver content of 11.25 grammes.
